Job Description

Job Summary: Manage an effective and cohesive team to ensure consistent delivery of services, collaborate with NY WeCare Management Team to develop and refine policies and procedures for the project. The person in this position will assist the Project Director on the clinical side of the program, supervise the other clinical MMS staff, and manage the subcontracts with the medical professional subcontractors.

Essential Job Duties:

•Direct the development of training materials for nurses and physicians
•Oversee quality assurance of nurse and physician work product
•Provide advice and counsel to the client as directed.
•Supervise the MAXIMUS WeCare clinical staff (CRCs and Nurse Assessors)
•Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and developing of CRCs and Nurse Assessors
•Monitor the activities, schedules, productivity and supervision of the clinical staff
•Review clinical documentation for completeness, accuracy and consistency
•Collect QA information
•Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation across the teams
•Lead regular team meetings and act as the point-person for the clinical staff
•Participate in meetings with the NY HRA client
•Collaborate with project management to ensure departmental performance and operational goals are met
•Monitor reports generated to support quality implementation and efficient processing of cases
•Promote project image and goals through public speaking engagements and local professional presentations
•Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
•Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Director

Education and Experience Requirements:

•Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years experience managing in a health care environment.
Preferred Requirements:
•Experience working in community settings involving health and human services
•Minimum of 3 years of people management
•Experience in behavioral health care
•Experience working with constituent groups
•Working experience with low income and behavioral health populations


 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage team members to ensure they follow MAXIMUS policies and procedures.
- Administer performance management processes to include developing and implementing training plans, monitoring quality and productivity, administering corrective/disciplinary action when necessary, and administering the performance evaluation process.
- Assist teams when necessary in coordination of case processing and workload adjustment.
- Act as liaison for the management team with other shared services functions, including Production Services, Training, Performance Management, and Business Intelligence as necessary.
- Consult with Sr. Manager, Legal Counsel, Medical Directors, Project Director and the Client as necessary.
- Develop, monitor, and use quality control procedures and audit criteria to ensure consistent application of contractual requirements and established policies and procedures.
- Maintain updated knowledge of Client requirements.
- Work with business development and implementation teams on new opportunities related to medical billing, coding and pricing.
- Manage recruitment and hiring of staff.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience considered in lieu of degree,  three (3) years of people management experience, five (5) years of experience in the related field.
