Maximus is seeking a Pricing Manager to join our team who will be responsible to deliver and/or oversee pricing aspects of proposal submission in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs.). The successful candidate for this position will work very closely with the Proposal Response Team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Work with Business Development team to do market analysis by participating in financial review of new markets at pre-RFP stage and providing guidance to the Business Development team to facilitate a better understanding of the financial impacts and sensitivities of specific opportunities (e.g., the impact of pursuing specific new markets and targeting certain clients, etc.)
•Provide pricing support for specific proposals by performing and supporting Competitor Analysis, Win-only Indirect Rate Analysis, and Price-to-Win, as well as building and updating pricing model for large, strategic proposals
•Provide strategic and tactical pricing support
•Provide ongoing pricing support for current client discussions
•Ensure that proposals comply with Procurement requirements, laws and internal MAXIMUS policies
•Work with Business Development and Profit & Loss (P&L) leadership to ensure that every proposal goes through appropriate Business Review Committee (BRC) review and provide crisp analysis of financial risk(s) during BRC
•Provide regular pricing status updates to the Pricing Director and Capture Management Team
Requirements & Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field of study required
•At least 5-7 years of related work experience required
•Knowledge of federal pricing regulations and compliance issues (FAR, CAS, TINA, etc.) preferred
•Strong organizational, verbal, written, analytical, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills
•Demonstrated hands-on work experience and knowledge of pricing, including reading and reviewing RFPs
•Strong proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
•Ability to do hands on analysis at micro-level while presenting findings at high-level
•Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and present to executive management
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services
•Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently

- Supervises assigned Pricing staff.
- Performs cost analysis and estimates for complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, FAR, CAS, and solicitation requirements.
- Works as an integral part of the capture/proposal team, assisting in the development of pricing strategies, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements.
- May act as the cost proposal volume manager.
- Interfaces with DCAA auditors regarding cost proposals, including the provision of direct and indirect costs support.
- May participate in the negotiation of contract awards.
- Maintains current knowledge of the competitive environment.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
- 5-7 years of related experience managing the development and submittal of complex spreadsheets and cost proposals to Federal customers for products and services.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of cost estimating.
- Effective supervisory skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of the relevant corporate and government regulations and standards regarding Federal procurement.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, or other related software programs.
