Job Description

The Project Manager is primarily responsible for daily management functions including developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for the project. Acts as the primary point of contact with Virginia Client Enrollment Services Project Managers for activities related to contract administration, program management, scheduling, and correspondence with VA staff, system implementation, and deliverable reviews.

Essential Job Duties:

•Responsible for management and oversight of project business units and resources, ensuring compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
•Ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements, program business rules, as well as state and federal regulations
•Oversee the quality and timeliness of contractually-required reports and deliverables
•Participate with project and executive management to establish strategic plans, objectives, initiatives, and work plans
•Work with project and executive leadership to develop performance goals and objectives for the project and staff, and monitors the achievement of those goals
•Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports for performance measurement and efficiencies
•Identify any potential problem areas, recommend solutions, and work closely and cooperatively with the client to resolve issues quickly and fairly
•Provide direction to team members and resolves problems in a timely and professional manner
Facilitate communication on project status, to include applicable corrective and preventive actions to leadership
•Ensure project budgets and related financial schedules meet corporate requirements
•Assist in the creation and implementation of innovative methodologies, process improvements, and corrective action plans to continually streamline and improve project operations, outcomes, and quality
•Develop, modify and execute project policies, ensuring all project team members are in compliance
•Assist with issues and risk management, and participates in mitigation and contingency actions to address the risk.

Education and Experience Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required
•Master's Degree preferred
•Minimum 3 years of management experience
•Minimum 3 years of contact center experience
•Experience in Microsoft Office products required
•Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
•Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
•Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
•Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
•Travel 5-15% of the time


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist the Project Director with the day-to-day running of the core functional areas to ensure compliance with the prime contract, all subsequent amendments, program business rules, as well as, state and federal regulations. - Assist the Project Director in his/her efforts to facilitate a functional, motivated, and cohesive project team. - Ensure all outreach, education and enrollment services are effectively and efficiently delivered throughout client coverage area. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with the client and other key stakeholders including DOH employees, state agencies, counties, health plans, community agencies, stakeholders and subcontractors. - Facilitate communication and resolution on all pertinent contract matters, operational changes, and applicable corrective and preventive actions. - Direct supervision of key Project staff as determined by the Project Director. - Work with the Project Director to develop performance goals and objectives for the project and staff, and monitor the achievement of those goals. - Assist in creation and implementation of innovative methodologies to continually streamline and improve project operations and outcomes. - Ensure project stays within budget, meets its financial performance goals, and meets all agreed upon timelines and work plans. - Work closely with members of the Senior Management team in support of performance objectives related to the Quality Management System. - Ensure compliance with MAXIMUS standards and procedures for project operations. - Meet all standards and performance criteria established for this position. - Perform other duties as may be assigned by management. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of project management experience. - Deliver a single large project or multiple smaller projects at the same time. - Make informed decisions and ensure adherence to budgets. - Recommend innovative methodologies, techniques, and criteria for projects. - Knowledge of workflows and project mapping. - Able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities. - Communicate updates and project status effectively and efficiently.
