Job Description

This role oversees the leading system upgrades, and/or conversions from other systems, supervise staff, and work with the Finance department, Group Finance, HR and IT with regard to process improvement and system implementations. This successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of functional areas outside of the Costpoint system and will be able to support many systems and interfaces. This role will report to the VP of Finance & Accounting.


 Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Support Costpoint, timecard and Cognos systems from a day to day user perspective. - Lead system upgrades and enhancements. - Identify continuous improvement opportunities through automation and/or efficiency initiatives. - Build and maintain working relationships with operating and other finance groups and provide them with subject matter expertise assistance. - Performs other duties as may be assigned by management. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree required. - 10+ years of experience in general ledger, financial analysis/budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, accounting, and financial systems maintenance required. - 3+ years of experience working with government contracting required. - Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of existing business processes based on in-depth industry knowledge of organizational and or client objectives. - Ability to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance. - Ability to negotiate with internal and external customers to gain desired outcome. - Ability to work under standards based performance measures and ability to successfully manage many complex tasks simultaneously. - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Ability to perform comfortably in a fast paced, deadline-oriented work environment. - Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously. - Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint (preferable). - Strong Excel skills. - Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently. - Travel 0-10%. - Work Environment / Physical Requirement: Regular office environment.
