Job Description

Maximus is currently looking for Trainer I at the Lawrence, KS location. The position is responsible for facilitating classroom training and providing technical expertise.

This position provides training to a variety of audiences with varying levels of experience, knowledge, and roles within a contact center. This position is responsible for delivering new hire training/continuing education/return to work training to all staff members at all levels of the project, administering post-training course exams and surveys, and reporting and tracking of all associated training activities.


 Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and distribution of training programs and materials.
- Conduct, plan, and coordinate training to a variety of audiences.
- Coordinate logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations.
- Determine resource readiness for courses, including materials, training room, technology, and collection and entry of training data.
- Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
- Provide production floor support and answer questions.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience.
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization.


Education and Experience Requirements

Support the updates to existing  training programs and materials
- Conduct, plan, and coordinate training to a variety of audiences
- Coordinate logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
- Determine resource readiness for courses, including materials, training room, technology, and collection and entry of training data
- Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness
- Provide production floor support and answer  questions
-Maintain training materials accuracy by reviewing and making minor updates during slow periods
-Answer questions from CSR I and CSR II employees in a professional and courteous manner
-Provide service to citizens on esclated calls, maintaining professionalism and following policies, processess, and guidelines

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience.
- May have additional training or education in area of specialization.   

- All IRS Help Desk staff must receive a security clearance from the government to continue to work on the program.                                                                                    

- Be in good standing with Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
