The individual will be a part of a team performing business development for the MAXIMUS Federal Information Technology organization. The individual will support business development professionals performing operations research and analysis. Support tasks will include market analysis, identification of technology trends, development of competitive assessments, and detailed research into customer mission and strategy. The individual will support proposal operations for assigned opportunities.

  • Provide research in various areas defined that support the MAXIMUS Federal IT mission: Case Management in government agencies; IT Modernization in the federal government; and Agile software development practices to include the implementation of DevOps

  • Provide timely information to the Business Development organization

  • Develop background material in each of the research areas

  • Support the development of presentations and white papers in each area

  • Support proposal activity with research

  • Organize material on the shared drive to support rapid responses

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university
  • Strong understanding of IT services
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented work environment 
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously 
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently 
  • Ability to use spreadsheet, database, and/or reporting software to do analysis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment within broadly-defined practices and policies; regularly interact with all levels of management, infrastructure points of contact, staff, and customers; and display a high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Characteristics necessary for success include: business and technical vision; disciplined strategic thinking; strong communications skills; analytical presentation and problem-solving skills; the ability to gain internal support; and the ability to establish and maintain a solid working relationship with technical staff, managers, and peers

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for up to 80% of time
  • Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment with a low to moderate noise level
