Job Description

The Employment Services Manager is responsible for managing a team to develop relationships with employers, community services providers, non-profits, community colleges, training provider’s and related organization in order help participants find jobs and long-term employment/careers in order to achieve project goals.

  • Manages Employment Services team responsible for developing employer relationships and a network with community agencies to support participants as they come through the program to gain employment and long-term career opportunities
  • Coaches, trains, and mentors individual Employment Services staff
  • Ensures the Employment Services team meets weekly and monthly targets 
  • Works with Case Workers and Program Management to ensure Employment Services team is aligned with the goals and objectives of the Program
  • Builds relationships with large employer organizations, Chambers of Commerce, community colleges, and other business organizations to reinforce the benefits of the program
  • Identifies areas for staff development and provides staff training
  • Meets with Case Workers and management to understand gaps in communication and performance
  • Identifies and manages jobs list each week, helps qualify open job opportunities, ensures the highest yield of time and effort of both the Case Workers and Employment Services staff
  • Organizes resources, develops outreach plan, assigns staff and monitor campaigns to carry out client requests related to policy changes or expansion or reduction of services
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Business, Employment, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in a sales Supervisor or Management position in a related field, preferably with a staffing sales or recruiting organization
  • Knowledge of the local business community to be served
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform duties of Employment Services team
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Ability to manage a team, work within a team, as well as independently
  • Ability to manage and achieve hiring targets
  • Excellent people management skills
