The Contracts Manager will serve as the business development lead and support all aspects of understanding the current project contract.

Employment is contingent upon award of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate polices and business unit procedures, ultimately reducing risk
  • Provide authoritative guidance to internal business teams on corporate goals and objectives relating to contract activity
  • Provide advice and recommend acquisition approaches, options, strategies, risks, contracting methods, cost, and milestones in preparation of draft acquisition planning
  • Assist in proper invoicing processes, identifying and logging invoices, analyzing invoice costs to verify accuracy and compliance with contract terms and conditions
  • Interact and communicate as appropriate with finance/accounting and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes
  • Coordinate with the contracting officer to obtain administrative documentation and manage contract change control process
  • Maintain contract database and associated files
  • Perform other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Five (5) years of related experience required
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience required
  • Federal Government contracts experience preferred
  • Excellent people, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Good technical writing skills with the ability to draft moderate to complex non-routine contractual documents
  • Experience administering complex contracts with tight deadlines in a challenging environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and put it into practice
  • Ability to maintain a composed demeanor in a complex, dynamic, and high operations tempo and time constrained environment with many competing priorities
