The Deputy Project Director delivers performance metrics and meets financial targets for the statewide eligibility operation.  They oversee the operational, training, business analysis and operations research components of the project as well as the ten Regional Change Centers and the Central Change Center.  They work closely with the executive management team to accomplish the goals and objectives of the project.  Position provides over site of all weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting to satisfy KPR requirements and responds to client requests.  They ensure special projects, curriculum development and delivery are in sync and approved by client.  They are responsible for coordinating processes by formulating policies, managing staff and daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources administrative services.

  • Establishes goals and objectives that support overall strategies and plans, develops, and schedules priorities and standards for achieving goals.
  • Oversees the operations, training, business analytics and operations research units and ensures these divisions are meeting internal and external standards.
  • Reviews and approves management, productivity, and financial reports and studies. 
  • Reviews results of special investigations, internal audits, research studies, forecasts, and modeling exercises to provide direction and guidance.
  • Ensures that the Call Center and Back office functions comply with all applicable requirements of the contract, state and federal regulations, and the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Reviews goals and objectives, guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations; and, monitors compliance.
  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels, staff training and compliance to meet contractual requirements.
  • Oversee the direction of workforce management operations including planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting functions.
  • Oversee and provide recommendations to project training and development policies and strategy.
  • Analyze existing systems and organizational processes and make recommendations to their design and behavior to improve service to the client.  Analyze data and other information in order to conceptualize and define operational problems and/or improvement opportunities. 
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Master's degree preferred. 
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • 5- 10 years of management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple locations with multiple direct reports as well as experience overseeing large operations (1,000+ FTES).
