Job Description

We are seeking a seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join our team in Columbia, MD. The Full Stack developer would be proficient in all development concepts involving Java and should be a fast learner.

Job Duties:

•Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
•Design and develop components using Java EE platforms
•Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
•Perform and/or lead design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution
•Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions
•Design and develop software solutions on REST, web services and SOAP
•Design and develop solutions that integrate with other tools seamlessly based on utilizing web services and other integration tools
•Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
•Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
•Provide development time estimates and be able to consistently deliver on-time, high-quality code
•Design and develop end-to-end web applications using full stack concepts
•Develop various Java components/solutions in an agile/scaled agile environment

Education and Experience Requirements:

•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required, equivalent years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
•At least five (5) years of Java experience in a fast-paced business environment
•Comfortable setting up AWS VPCs, security groups, onsite to cloud tunnels
•Understanding of frameworks, specifically Selenium, Laravel and Angular
•Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
•Have a clear and concise understanding of Docker, Jenkins CJE, CI/CD pipeline and GitHub
•Strong core relational database concepts (Oracle, PostgreSQL)/data modeling
•Experience with Linux and comfortable administering headless servers in the cloud
•Agile development experience including an understanding of modern system performance enhancement and data security
•Strong in object oriented analysis and declarative language
•Exhibit profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
•Familiarity with three tier architecture

Preferred Skills:

•Great understanding with AWS (Amazon Web Services), certification in AWS
•Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) experience

Additional Requirements as per Contract/Client:

•Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
