The Information System Security Officer is responsible for ensuring information security for an assigned project, focusing on key areas of risk, outlined in the Information Security policy, under the direction of the Information Security management team.

“Employment is contingent upon contract award”

  • Conduct Information Security risk assessments and compliance evaluations for infrastructure and application assets within required timeframes and to industry standards and regulatory specifications
  • Ensure controls implementation for identified Information Security risks for business areas of responsibility
  • Define, create, and maintain the documentation for certification and accreditation of each information system in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage expectations with multiple stakeholders on the project in conjunction with the Information Security team
  • Integrate solutions for the transfer of data in the millions to multiple interface environments that will frequently change throughout the duration of the project
  • Maintain system integrity at more than 500 sites with a  combination of cellular, wireless and network based solutions
  • Maintain the integrity of portable equipment systems and practices
  • Protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction and develop IT security policies and standards
  • Understand internet architecture and firewall configuration to protect system security
  • Perform other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Eight (8) of related experience required
  • Experience with Information Security standards and risk management
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and put it into practice
  • Ability to maintain a composed demeanor in a complex, dynamic, and high operations tempo and time constrained environment with many competing priorities
