Job Description

MAXIMUS IT is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for the Domestic Health Services line of business to execute IT requirements analysis, as well as support strategic initiatives and projects aimed at improving the efficiency and integrity of IT support for business development and transition-to-implementation activities.

The Business Analyst is expected to work effectively and proactively with technical and non-technical teams to execute review and analysis of IT requirements, identify, document, and report out on operational risks and facilitate resolution of RFP compliance issues as related to requirements addressing telephony, networking, security, privacy and system hosting compliance. The role will develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in order to gain an understanding of business drivers and objectives, current IT capabilities and product and service roadmaps, and IT’s operating model.

This role will report to the Enterprise Architect for Health Services and operate out of the Denver,CO office. Preference will be given to qualified candidates located in the Denver Metro area. However, remote work for the most qualified candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Working independently with engineering, management, subject matter experts, and the business to review and analyze RFP IT requirements while accurately documenting discussion and decision outcomes;
  • Developing the methodology, process and standard templates for conducting IT requirements reviews within pursuit cycles;
  • Creating documentation, templates and/or tools to help improve the coordination and communication of solution design, proposal content generation and pricing; and
  • Supporting strategic initiatives and projects as assigned by the Enterprise Architect; support may include organizing and participating in meetings while recording meeting minutes and action items, developing communications, identifying and developing process improvement solutions, executing change management activities, performing data analysis, and developing executive briefs.
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering Technical Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience analyzing RFP IT requirements and working with a multi-disciplinary team to identify technical solutions, risks and risk mitigation strategies OR in a similar Business Analyst role.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-pace environment and multi-task appropriately against competing priorities and deadlines under limited supervision.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and negotiate decision-making across teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail; some project management experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Powerpoint, MS Excel, MS Word

Preferred Experience may include:

  • 4+ years experience at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Demonstrated experience in contact service procurements
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to develop data and cost models with MS Excel and communicate insights to a broad audience
  • Experience with business process improvement principles (e.g.,Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience with government administration of Medicaid and Medicare plans and services
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-service, AWS technology and services, and/or IT shared services
  • Located in Denver Metro area
