The Accounting Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing the effective utilization of available facility budget funds, equipment, materials, and supplies.

Employment is contingent upon award of the contract.

  • Prepare and review financial reports and statements detailing the status of funds
  • Supervise the work of the accounting and finance department staff
  • Ensure work complies with both company and government regulations
  • Assure that appropriate accounting records and documentation are maintained to promote effective internal accounting controls and to comply with Government requirements
  • Perform account reconciliation and review accounting records, identify discrepancies, and determine their cause
  • Develop and maintain the project’s financial records and budget
  • Review contract modifications, maintain divisional contract files, and prepare and review reports as necessary
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc financial reports and analysis using appropriate tools and documents
  • Participate in developing budgeting and forecasting strategy plans, while performing variance analysis between forecast and actuals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, or similar discipline required
  • Five (5) years of related financial experience required
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience required
  • Ability to direct and maintain process improvement efforts in accounting operations
  • Ability to build positive relationships among senior management, staff, and the client
  • Willingness to learn innovative and creative approaches to using business applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and put it into practice
  • Ability to maintain a composed demeanor in a complex, dynamic, and high operations tempo and time constrained environment with many competing priorities
