The Senior Operations Manager oversees all aspects of daily operations for a program, including staffing, performance monitoring, quality assurance oversight, training, auditing and compliance with internal and external requirements across multiple sites.

  • Manage direct reports and the cost-effective operation of all project tasks
  • Manage audit of operations
  • Monitor performance against key indicators established internally or by the client
  • Develop solutions to complex problems or issues
  • Develop performance goals and objectives for staff and monitor achievement of goals
  • Develop and implement conflict resolution by working in conjunction with trainers, supervisors, and other managers, IT, facilities, human capital, finance, and other departments as needed
  • Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed
  • Evaluate and enhance current operational systems
  • Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
  • Ensure that project milestones and goals are met and that the project adheres to approved budgets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Seven (7) years of related experience required
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience required
  • Previous experience reporting directly to a Program Manager/Project Director/Project Manager required
  • Experience managing to meeting/exceeding contractual obligations such as Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and any additional metrics
  • Experience performing Program Integrity Assurance (PIA) or the equivalent reviews on application documentation
  • Experience reviewing invoices, appeals, change requests and forms
  • Experience performing the equivalent of Commitment Adjustment (COMAD) reviews which involve identifying overpayments so that those funds can be recovered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new information and put it into practice

Additional Requirements as per Contract/Client:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance
  • United States Citizenship
