We are seeking a Software Production Program Analyst to join our team to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client located in New Carrollton MD. Our client wants our staff on site providing support at the IRS facility 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday but other 2 days you can work at home! The IRS facility is conveniently located directly across the street from the New Carrollton Metro station!

The Software Production Program Analyst will support the testing of the IRS Production environment and the product release software to determine readiness for deployment of web application releases into the Production environment.

•Update and tailor the Deployment Site Readiness Test (DSRT) plan for all deployments during each Program Increment (PI)
•Schedule and facilitate deployment testing sessions with various stakeholders
•Identify gaps in the DSRT playbook and maintain a log of gaps identified
•Provide input and recommendations to update and maintain the DSRT playbook
•Identify appropriate test cases from the test suite when patches and fixes are deployed and coordinate test execution, record and report test results

*Employment is contingent upon contract award.

QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required; an additional four years of related work experience can substitute for a degree
•Master’s Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience
•At least six (6) or more years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: telecommunication concepts, computer software, computer languages, operating systems, middleware, or database management systems
•Knowledgeable and proficient in IT project management methodologies, procedures and processes
•Experience supporting software release management, including configuration and deployment processes, and pre- and post- testing of software builds
•Knowledge and experience supporting test automation processes and tools, such as Selenium
•Working knowledge of Linux operating system
•Experience in a key role applying Agile concepts and practices; for example, as a member of an Agile Scrum team
•Proficiency with Microsoft suite required, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work well independently or in a team setting
•Must be flexible and adaptable with respect to work assignments
•Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•Experience with use of IBM Rational CLM or similar tool used in an Agile SDLC preferred

Physical Requirements:

•Work is performed in an office environment with a low to moderate noise level

Additional Requirements, as per Contract/Client:

•Ability to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (Active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus)
•Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for three (3) years, and be Federal Tax compliant The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
