Job Description

The Associate Systems Analyst collaborates with business analysts and stakeholders in eliciting and solidifying system requirements that will support the required business functions.

  • Attend JAD Sessions with project stakeholders and document discussions.
  • Make appropriate changes in system requirement documentation as directed through JAD sessions and by more senior analysts.
  • Contribute to creation of system requirement documentation, design specifications, user manuals, release notes, general system documentation by analyzing business needs and creating or updating systems requirements.
  • Document system functionality in end-user training materials and documentation
  • Analyze business process flows to generate system process flows and requirement.
  • Analyze interactions among existing systems by reviewing documentation and consulting with peers and subject matter experts as input into the requirements definition and documentation process.
  • Make system configuration changes to test functional impact.
  • Review and monitor execution and completion of system processes.  Report status to team and take action where appropriate.
  • Assist development and testing groups in issue identification and resolution by evaluating against existing requirements to determine if system is operating as expected.
  • Evaluate and review test cases to ensure they accurately represent the system requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • 0 – 3 years of IT experience with systems development lifecycle using structured methodologies in requirements management, process/data analysis and quality control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into system requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience and hands-on involvement in software quality control -- e.g., integration/system/regression/performance/user acceptance testing.
  • Proven experience contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with relational databases and querying data for analysis, testing and research.
  • Able to execute multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
  • Customer service skills are required.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and written, provide excellent customer service, and strong work ethic.
  • Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
